Eddie bridges Iberian, Lusophone, and Latin American music - blending cultures, sounds, and stories into a singular creative universe
Eddie (Edgar Pinto) is a Portuguese multi-creative artist, music producer, and singer-songwriter. A voting member of both The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) and the Latin Recording Academy (Latin GRAMMYs), he is also a member of the Songwriters & Composers Wing, the Producers & Engineers Wing, the Academia de la Música de España (ACAMUS), and the Portuguese Society of Authors (SPA). Living between Portugal and Spain, Eddie’s work connects Iberian, Lusophone, and Latin American music.
His journey in music began in the late 1990s. In 2006, he founded EP-Produções Musicais, a production company whose recording studios in Portugal gained international recognition, hosting sessions involving artists such as Prince, Ivan Lins, Madredeus, Mariza, Teresa Salgueiro, Rodrigo Leão, Anna Maria Jopek, Camané, Paulo de Carvalho, Luiz Brasil, Boss AC, TC, Sara Tavares and Tito Paris. In 2010, Eddie launched his solo artistic project. He has gained international visibility through songs such as Tempo, Mil Anjos, Dime Dónde Estás, A Luz Dentro de Mim, El Otro Lado de Mí, and Sueño.
His music has been featured on radio and television outlets including Antena 1, RDP África, RDP Internacional, RTP, SIC, TVI, Radio Nacional de España (RNE), REE, Radiolé, Onda Cero, Cadena SER, Canal Sur, Telemadrid, Rádio Nacional de Angola, Rádio Nacional de Cabo Verde, Rádio Nacional de Moçambique, CNN Portugal, Heraldo TV (Mexico), Canal 13 (Mexico), and Azteca TV (Mexico). Eddie has performed at Centro Cultural de Belém, Museu do Oriente, Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval, Teatro Garcia de Resende, Casino Estoril, and Sala Galileo Galilei (Madrid), as well as in cities across Portugal, Spain, Mexico, other Latin American countries, and the Lusophone world.
His latest album, Todo a Su Tiempo (2025), recorded in Lisbon, Madrid, Andalusia and Los Angeles, offers an intimate and visual journey that reveals both Eddie’s acoustic side and his identity as a producer and creator. Eddie is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter and music producer, with international distinctions recognising his artistic excellence, original songs, production work and music videos.
Alongside his work as an artist and producer, Eddie serves on the Grand Jury Panel of the LIT Music Awards and The Telly Awards Judging Council. He brings his experience in music, sound, performance and audiovisual production to these roles. He has also served as a mentor in the GRAMMY U Mentorship Program, supporting emerging music creators, and is a member of the Recording Academy’s Florida Chapter.
Beyond music, Eddie cultivates a deep connection to the ocean and to silence, believing that authenticity and sharing are the true essence of his art.
